Tracy will be remembered as the life of the party, a compassionate soul, and someone who was always welcoming and always ready for shenanigans.

Tracy Ann Spires, lovingly known as “Sassy,” passed away on October 3, 2026, in Kelso, Washington, from pancreatic cancer. She was born on January 16, 1962, in Phillipsburg, New Jersey.

Tracy will be remembered as the life of the party, a compassionate soul, and someone who was always welcoming and always ready for shenanigans. Her family recalls that with Tracy, they never quite knew what the day would hold, because she always had something up her sleeve. That spirit of fun, warmth, and spontaneity made her unforgettable to those who knew and loved her. She had a gift for making people feel at home, and her family treasures the way she welcomed everyone as if they were her own.

She found joy in simple and meaningful things, especially rock hunting and spending time with her grandbabies. Among the things she held most dear, Tracy would have said that seeing her children succeed was her greatest accomplishment. Her love for her grandchildren was deep and abiding, and they brought her tremendous happiness.

She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Young; her sons, Tyler McCosh and Frankie Czerwinski; and her life partner, Matt Bohlig. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Ezra, Ollie, Emmalyn, Blake, Emmit, Eli, and Felixx, each of whom held a special place in her heart. The love Tracy shared with her family was generous and open, and that love will continue to live on in the many lives she touched.

Tracy was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Spires, and by her best friend, Joyce. Their memories remained part of her story, and she carried those bonds with her throughout her life.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 6, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Steele Chapel, 5050 Mt. Solo Rd., Longview, Washington 98632.

Tracy’s memory will live on in laughter, in family gatherings, in unexpected adventures, and in the welcoming spirit she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
