Thomas Alonzo Teseniar, affectionately known as Tom, was born on April 23, 1959, in Victorville, California. He passed away on October 2, 2025, in Longview, Washington, due to complications resulting from a stroke. Throughout his life, Tom embodied a spirit of kindness and camaraderie, famously never knowing a stranger. This openness to friendship led him to forge meaningful connections across various towns, states, and even several countries, ensuring that he was surrounded by people who cared for him deeply.

Tom's educational journey was notable, culminating in his graduation from the University of Alaska, Anchorage, where he earned two Associate of Arts degrees, one in electronics and another in computer science. His commitment to education reflected his dedication to personal growth and professional development.

His military service spanned an impressive 26 years, during which he served in both the Air Force and the Air National Guard. His roles included crew chief and aircraft electrician, and he later became part of search and rescue operations. Tom's leadership and expertise were further recognized when he served as President of the Alaska chapter of the association of civilian technicians, a testament to his commitment to both his service and community.

Tom's personal life was enriched by his deep love for family. He often expressed that his greatest blessings were his children and grandchildren, whom he cherished dearly. He is survived by his beloved wife, Andera Kay (Kemp) Teseniar, along with his children: Kenneth Teseniar (Misty), Jeffrey Teseniar (Birdie), Krista Burre, and Kody Roberts (Tasia). He was the proud grandfather of Shannon Teseniar, Kippy Ladnier III, Abigail Ladnier, Oliver Teseniar, Owen Teseniar, Daphne Teseniar, Isabelle Teseniar, Kinnley Roberts, and Jaxon Roberts.

Tom had a profound passion for fishing, an activity he enjoyed deeply with his wife, Kay, who was known to outfish him on many occasions. However, he relished the day he finally surpassed her by catching a remarkable 200lb. halibut, a memory that brought him immense pride and joy.

Beyond his hobbies and accomplishments, Tom's legacy lies in his unwavering willingness to help others. He often found himself in positions to rescue those in distress, showcasing his innate generosity and sense of duty. His friends and family will forever hold dear the memories of a man who was always ready to lend a hand and had a knack for bringing people together.

Tom Teseniar leaves behind not just a family, but a network of friends who will remember him for his warmth, compassion, and the many lives he touched throughout his journey. His departure leaves a void that will be felt by all who had the privilege to know him. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Teseniar, and mother, Nelida T. (Willemsen) Teseniar. Tom will be missed, but his spirit and the memories he created will endure in the hearts of those he loved and who loved him in return.
