Scott Douglas Vaillencourt

Scott Douglas Vaillencourt, 49, was born May 23, 1972, in Longview and passed away Feb. 15, 2022, in Longview.

The son of Douglas Vaillencourt and Carol (Hiatt) Dry, he graduated from Evergreen High School in Vancouver. Scott was loving, caring, happy and outgoing. He enjoyed Sundays with his father, eating ice cream, and playing with beads and marbles. Scott loved music. He was particularly fond of singing “Jesus Loves Me.”

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Douglas and Patricia Vaillencourt of Longview; two brothers and their spouses, Eric and Brit Vaillencourt, and Jay and Jamie Vaillencourt, all of Longview; four sisters and their spouses, Summer and Chelsea Pagono of Vancouver, Heather and Lloyd Snow of Castle Rock, Kathy and Erik Endreson of Longview, and Jill and Wally Lair of Castle Rock; an uncle, Ronnie Palmer of Seaside, Ore.; and his nephews and nieces, Ben, Cody, Tanner, Alison, Aubrey, Austin, Indi, Casey, Bryson, Jordy, Jayden, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Amanda, Jessica, Harris and Chatner.

Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leo and Nadine Vaillencourt, Dean and Evelyn Hiatt, and Herman and Ethel Moss.

A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. March 5 at the Church of the Way, 525 3rd Ave. SW in Castle Rock. Pastor Sam Meyers will officiate. A viewing is planned from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 25 at Steele Chapel.
