Rhonda Kay Hall, 72, of Longview, passed away Sept. 30, 2023 in Glendale, Ariz.
She was born March 2, 1951, in Longview, to Stanley and Lois (Kramp) Greig. After graduating from R.A. Long High School in 1969, Rhonda attended classes at Lower Columbia College to become a lab chemist at Monticello Medical Center in Longview, Providence Medical Center in Newberg, Ore., and performing research for the Weyerhaeuser Technology Center in Longview and Federal Way.
She met Wayne Hall in her anatomy and physiology class at LCC. Wayne fell in love with her at first sight, noting her beauty, confidence and personality. They were married on Sept. 4, 1971, and Rhonda became a homemaker, mother, and eventually a grandmother.
Rhonda volunteered for several organizations, including the Longview Junior Service League, her sorority, FISH, and the YMCA board. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with friends, hiking, kayaking and clamming. Described as a typical Pisces, Rhonda was highly creative, imaginative, sensitive, compassionate and loving. She was social and always put the needs of others before her own.
Rhonda is survived by her husband, Wayne at home; a son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Rose Hall of Longview; two grandsons, Conner and Zachary Hall, both of Longview; her younger siblings and their families; and an array of cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Randy.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10 at Steele Chapel. A reception will follow in the Chapel’s Hospitality Room. Rhonda will be laid to rest with her parents at Longview Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the YMCA, P.O. Box 698, Longview, WA 98632.
