Dedicated and loving family man Mikeal Perry Dalton, 74, of Kelso passed away Aug. 26, 2023, at home.

He was born Aug. 23, 1949, in Cedar City, Utah, and earned a bachelor of arts in business management from the University of Phoenix, and his masters from Almeda University.

Mikeal served six years in the Army as a member of the military police in Korea. He was honorably discharged in 1975. In the private sector he worked as a project manager, and served on the America Youth Soccer Organization and was a commissioner for Boy Scouts of America.

He enjoyed camping with family and friends, and coaching youth softball, soccer, football and badminton for more than 30 years. Mikeal was a joy to be around.

He married Linda Vosbugh in Lakewood, Calif. April 8, 1972. She survives him at home. Also surviving are three children, Michelle Dalton of Vancouver, Eric Dalton and his wife Tryna of Battleground, Wash., and Janan Dalton of Federal Way, Wash.; four grandchildren, Mark Dalton-Bowers of Kelso, Michael Sanchez of Garden Grove, Calif., and Ash Dalton and Exene Dalton, both of Battleground; and a sister and brother-in-law, Cynthia and Tom Alexander of Shelton, Wash.

Mikeal was preceded in death by his mother, Luan Dalton; his grandparents, Clarence and Loise Dalton; and his great-grandmother, Willie Scivally.

No public service is planned. Mikeal will be laid to rest at the Vancouver Barracks Cemetery next spring.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Final arrangements were entrusted to Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park.
