Mary J. Glanville was born on June 26, 1941 in Adams, MN to Marjorie Doty Hueman and Frank Hueman. Mary is survived by her daughters (and their husbands): Renee (Leon), Pam (Mike) and Susan (Dan). She has seven grandchildren: Nick, Taylor, Jacob, Madison, Justin, Loren and Nicky. She has one great-grandson, Aidan. She is survived by her four siblings, Francis (Bud), Marjorie, Thomas (Pat) and Suzanne as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mary enlisted in the US Army in 1959 and was honorably discharged as a Captain in 1968. She graduated from Portland State University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature. Mary worked at the VA Hospital in Portland, OR from 1979-2005. She traveled to nearly every US state and 12 countries, enjoyed crossword puzzles, loved watching her grandchildren’s activities, as well as swimming, Pilates, writing and visiting with friends and family. Her sense of humor and optimistic view of life charmed all who knew her.
Mary was a longtime resident of Vancouver, Washington and passed away peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer’s at the age of 81 on July 9, 2022.
