Laura Lee Jenkins

Laura (Hillman) Jenkins of Longview passed away after a week-long battle with cancer. Laura grew up in Longview and graduated from Kelso High School in 1980. She married the love of her life David Jenkins in 1990. Laura worked a few jobs, with her last being 20 years at Grocery Outlet.

Laura loved spending time with her grandsons, bowling, travelling with her sisters, gospel music, desserts, and spontaneous car rides with her husband. Everybody she met was her friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Jenkins; parents, Dale Hillman Sr. and Selma and Bob Girt; sisters, Janice Hillman and Debbie O'Dell and most recently the best brother any sisters could ever have Dale Hillman Jr.

Laura is survived by her grandsons, Jonah Jenkins and Liam Kendle; daughter, Heather Jenkins; son-in-law, Tyler Stone; stepson, Mike (Jen) Jenkins; step mom, Diana Hillman; sisters, Beckie (Ken) Clark, Julie (Dennis) Moore, Brenda (Rob) Cottrell and Barbara (Steve) Moore; stepbrothers, Jeff (Danette) Look and Dave (Ruth) Look; brother-in-law, Pat O'Dell, numerous nieces and nephews, and way to many friends to mention.

Laura was one of the sweetest people you would ever meet, she never knew a stranger.

A celebration of Laura's life will be held November 5 at 2:00 at the Salvation Army Church, 1639 10th Ave. Longview. A potluck reception will follow.
