Kenneth Brian Kell

October 15, 1963 — March 14, 2024

Longview

Kenneth Brian Kell, 60, of Longview tragically passed away as the result of a motorcycle accident March 14, 2024, in Longview.

He was born Oct. 15, 1963, in Longview to Jesse and Mary (Robbins) Kell. Kenny graduated from R.A. Long High School in 1983, where he was known for his sense of humor and made many friends. He graduated from Lower Columbia College with an AA machinist degree.

Kenny was a lifelong local resident with the exception of a couple years in Utah, where he worked as a machinist. He returned to Cowlitz County and made many friends working through Laborers International Local 335 for various construction companies.

He was a member of Calvary Community Church and enjoyed learning how to play different musical instruments, elk hunting with his family, playing video games with his niece Bridget, and tagging along with his brothers doing whatever they did. He enjoyed cooking and trying out new recipes, which he shared at family gatherings.

Kenny was funny, witty, easy-going, and forgiving. He did things his way and in his own time. He was always willing to help when asked, and would bring nice bottles of wine to dinners hosted by his sister and sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Jonathan Kell on Oct. 15, 2023.

Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Tom and Rita Kell, and Bruce and Susan Kell, all of Longview; a sister, Sharon Adams and her partner, Dave Wells; a sister-in-law, Linda Kell; three nieces, Monica Ibarreta, Bridget Kell, and Kristen Campbell; six nephews, Kurt Ibarreta, Connor and Logan Adams, and Tim, Sam, and Max Kell; seven great-nephews; two great-nieces; three aunts; and many cousins and friends.

A memorial service is planned for noon March 29 at Calvary Community Church, 2655 38th Ave., in Longview. Contributions in Kenny’s name may be made to the church. A reception will follow with light refreshments.
