Karen Marie Myklebust passed away peacefully at her residence at Monticello Park Assisted Living Facility in Longview, Washington, on August 23, 2026. She was born on August 1, 1944, in New Rockford, North Dakota.

Karen will be remembered as a caring and thoughtful woman whose life was marked by kindness, warmth, and a loving heart. She devoted much of her life to caring for children, welcoming many into her home through her daycare over the years. In that role, she offered not only supervision, but also comfort, encouragement, and a steady presence to the families who entrusted their children to her care. She also served as a paraeducator for the school district, where she was deeply supportive and caring toward her students. The compassion she showed in both her work and daily life touched many and reflected the generous spirit that defined her.

Above all, Karen especially cherished time spent with her family. She loved being surrounded by those she held dear, and her grandchildren and great-granddaughter brought her particular joy. The love she gave so freely will remain a lasting gift to all who knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Allis and Jeff Allis; her grandchildren, Madeline Allis, Boston Allis, and Hannah Allis; and her great-granddaughter, Cove Allis. Each of them carries forward the love, care, and gentle strength that Karen shared throughout her life, and her memory will continue to live on in the family she treasured so deeply.

Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Myklebust; her sister, Rosemary Quick; her brother-in-law, Albert Quick; and her brother, Douglas Berglund.

Karen Marie Myklebust will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives were brightened by her compassion and care.
