John Russeff

John Russeff, 94, of Kelso, Wash., passed away May 5, 2023.

John was born March 6, 1929, in Steele, N.D., to George and Mary (Minkoff) Russeff.

He served in the Army and worked as a diesel mechanic and marine engineer, retiring from Brusco Tug and Barge in 2000.

John is survived by five children, Elton, Terry, Margaret, Tim, and Richard; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Jerri Diane and Virginia.

John was an avid hunter, fisherman, and storyteller. His dogs Spike and Alex were loved like they were children. John was most proud of his children and would tell anyone who would listen, “My seven kids are the best thing I’ve done in life.”
