Lifelong local resident Jeffrey Mark McNamara, 58, of Longview passed away at home, peacefully in his sleep, July 1, 2023.
He was born March 14, 1965, in Longview, to Jim and Joan (Neiman) McNamara. Jeff graduated from R.A. Long High School in 1983, and went to work for the Chevron Station on Ocean Beach Highway owned by the Gillihans. He later worked for the Roemer Foundry, Graham Lumber, and Alcoa.
Jeff was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. He was a big-hearted, fun-loving jokester.
Jeff is survived by his mother, Joan McNamara of Longview; a brother, Mike McNamara of Longview; two sisters, Sue (Phil) Culbertson of Longview and Pam (Jason) Heiderscheidt of Aurora, Colo.; a daughter, Miranda (Nick) Robison of Longview; two grandchildren, Kyleea and Roran Robison, both of Longview; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jim McNamara; and a sister, Cathy McNamara.
A funeral is planned for 11 a.m. Friday, July 14, at St. Rose Catholic Church with Father Bryan Ochs officiating. A reception will follow. Family and friends are welcome to pay their final respects during a viewing from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, July 13, at Steele Chapel.
