It is with deep respect and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Jeffery Rollie Harris on January 25, 2026, in his beloved hometown of Longview, Washington. Born on March 21, 1961, Jeff lived a life characterized by love, generosity, and unwavering faith. He grappled with health issues for two years, ultimately succumbing to natural causes, yet he faced his hardships with a stoicism that inspired all who knew him.
Jeff's life was a testament to his devotion to family and faith. A wonderful husband to Sue Harris, he cherished their life together, embodying the roles of a loving spouse and a devoted father. As a parent, Jeff took great pride in his late daughter Baily and her many accomplishments, from her academic successes to her strong relationship with God and her achievements in softball. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Camille and Cadyn, both of whom he adored deeply.
A graduate of Lower Columbia College, Jeff completed his Electrical Apprenticeship in 1991 and built an outstanding 30-year career as an electrician at JH Kelly. His professional success mirrored his personal character—reliable and steadfast, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. Beyond his work, he dedicated himself to enhancing the community, serving as Vice President at Bethany Lutheran Church and later as a Shepherd at Valley Christian Church, providing hospitality and support to those around him.
Jeff's personality was a rich tapestry of contrasting traits—a tough exterior cloaked a kind and loving heart. He was deeply compassionate and selfless, consistently putting others' needs ahead of his own. Even in his acts of generosity, he preferred to remain in the background, helping silently but effectively. His deep love for the Lord, Jesus Christ, shaped his character and directed his actions, forging meaningful connections with many.
His hobbies included a love for golfing, particularly with Sue, and he relished teaching his daughter to play softball, exerting patience and care with every lesson. Additionally, he found joy in fishing and had a passion for cars and trucks.
Jeff will be profoundly missed by his wife, Sue; his grandchildren, Camille and Cadyn; his brothers; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved cats, Pickles and Lulu. He joins in eternal rest his beloved daughter, Baily Marie Harris; his dear brother, John Harris; his grandmother, Irene Quinn "Grannie"; and his great-grandmother, affectionately known as "Umpie."
As we reflect on the memories shared with Jeff, we remember a man of strength and kindness who left an indelible mark on all our lives. His spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
