Janette June Barney Ervig

Janette June Barney Ervig, 74, peacefully passed away on Saturday March 16, 2024, at OHSU in Portland, Oregon at 12:56 A.M. surrounded by her daughters and sons-in-law.  Janette was born on June 7, 1949, to Clifford James and Armida Nancy Barney in Chehalis, Washington.  

Janette was proud to grow up as a ranch manager’s daughter all over Washington and Oregon.  Janette loved to do anything outdoors, fishing, hunting, gold panning, camping, riding horses and motorcycles.  Janette was a Layout Artist for several newspapers during her lifetime and had a college degree in Business Administration.

In 1992, Janette married Gary Ervig Sr. of Longview, Washington and shared 25 years of love and friendship full of adventures.

Janette is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Nancy and Cordell Doll and Lesa and Larry Simpson all of Coos Bay, Oregon.  Grandchildren Aaron McCulloch, Aidan Doll, Larrissa Simpson, and Rhiannon Simpson all of Coos Bay, Oregon. 

Janette is preceded in death by her husband Gary Ervig Sr, her parents Clifford and Armida Barney, sister Margarett Barney, and brother Willard Barney. 

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on April 5, 2024 at Longview Memorial Park, 5050 Mt. Solo Rd., Longview, Washington.
