Elaine Murray, age 72, passed away peacefully at her home. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and a cherished friend to many. Her warm smile and joyful laughter could light up any room, and she will be remembered for the love and kindness she shared so freely.

Elaine was born in North Dakota to Mary Jane and Clarence Moran and was proud of her roots as a member of the Turtle Mountain band of Chippewa. Elaine was one of 12 siblings and held her family close throughout her life.

Elaine is survived by her husband, Richard Murray of Longview; her two daughters, Connie Baker of Longview and Tammy Baker of Colorado Springs; and her three grandchildren, Chelsea Miller and Shelby Baker of Kansas and Damon Fencl of Washington. She is also survived by her brother, Bob Robert Moran, and her sisters, Linda Guffey and Vicki Sherven of Parshall, North Dakota.

She was preceded in death by her parents and eight of her siblings, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Elaine found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved cooking, planting flowers, and spending time with her family and close friends, whom she cherished deeply.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

“We love you, Mom”

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,

hallowed by thy name,

thy kingdom come,

thy will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our traspasses,

As we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, for ever and ever.

Amen
