Bob "Frank" Merritt

Bob "Frank" Merritt was born July 3rd, 1952 passed away January 2nd, 2022. He was proceeded by his parents Margaret and Frank Burtis, and Arthur Merritt, also a daughter Heather Dowell.

Bob (Frank) worked for Weyer Hauser in Longview Washington for 14 years. Then worked for Bald Knob Lumber for a year, Longview Fibre for 10 years. In 1999 started the rest of his career as an Electrician doing Industrial work. He retired in 2016 to come home to Salmon, Idaho that he cherished so much.

He was so loved and liked by all he knew and met in his life’s Journey. He was strong-willed and a gentle person. There was not a thing that he couldn’t accomplish whether it was building, fixing cars, running equipment, or feeding his animals. Whatever it was he did his best to full fill the problem. He dearly loved his family and would give his shirt off his back to help anyone he could. He will be loved and missed forever by all.

He is survived by his wife Lois Merritt of Salmon Idaho, "I Will love and miss him forever"; a son, Frank Merritt (Dawn) of Kelso Washington, "He was my hero and I will never not miss him"; a daughter, Michelle Merritt (Keith) of Longview Washington, "He will be incredibly loved and missed Forever"; a grandson, Malachi; a son, Cody R. Duffy (LaLonie) of Bakersfield California, "Dad was a wonderful caring Father who was always there for me to give advice and guidance. He was an amazing father to look up to. I wish I could be half the man he was. He might not have always had my hand but always had my back. Dad you will always be on my mind and forever in my heart. Love your son Cody"; a so,n Richard Larson of Salmon, Idaho; a sister, Debbie NeatHawk (Leon) of New Wensor, New York; a half-sister Pamela Grasauskas (Peter) in Florida; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren whom he loved so much, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Longview Memorial Park, in Longview Washington June 25, 2022, at 1:00 P.M.
