Billy Dean “Sweet Willy” Claycamp passed away on July 21, 2026, surrounded by his family and friends after losing his courageous battle with multiple myeloma. He was 45 years old.

Bill was born on September 1, 1980, in Sacramento, California, and was raised in Morton, Washington. His journey eventually led him to Longview, Washington, where he met Brandi. Brandi had four children—Charlie, Dakota, Anthony, and Danae—and from the very beginning, Bill took them in as his own.

Bill’s pride and joy and his greatest accomplishment in life were his children and grandchildren. Nothing meant more to him than his family.

Bill was truly one of a kind. He had a larger-than-life personality, a contagious laugh, and a way of making everyone around him feel like family. He could be stubborn and outspoken and could drive you crazy one minute, only to have you laughing with him the next. Life with Bill was never boring, and there are more stories and memories about him than could ever fit into one obituary.

Bill loved his Seattle Seahawks and proudly wore his #12. He loved fishing, camping, swimming, music, wrestling, watching movies, racing lawn mowers, running monster trucks, and putting on unforgettable fireworks shows. Most of all, he loved being surrounded by the people he cared about.

Bill is survived by his mother, Tina; his children, Charlie, Dakota, Anthony, and Danae; his beloved grandchildren, Emari, Aubree, Brilee, Bentley, Paislee, Harmony, Sylvie, Rowen, Deegan, Cooper, Eli, Neeco, Laéa ; his sister, Erin; numerous nieces and nephews; his Foxworthy brothers; and many extended family members and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Thompson.

Bill leaves behind a lifetime of laughter, stories, adventures, and memories that will continue to be shared by the people who loved him. His larger-than-life presence may be gone from our sight, but the love he gave and the memories he created will remain forever.
