Barbara Mae Stuart

Longtime local resident Barbara Mae Stuart, 95, of Longview passed away Jan. 3, 2024, at The Walker House in Longview.

She was born May 26, 1928, in Burlingame, Calif., to George and Muriel (Rhodes) Perryman.

On July 15, 1951, Barbara married William R. Stuart. They moved to Washington 1958.

Barbara retired as a registered nurse from St. John Medical Center. She was a member of Stella Lutheran Church, Stella Historical Society, and Oak Point Community Group. She enjoyed walking, camping, cooking, reading and playing cards and games. Barbara was extremely gracious, kind and loving. She was also supportive, encouraging and nonjudgmental.

Survivors include four children, Merry Snead of Corvalis, Ore., William A. Stuart of La Center, Wash., Suzanne Nagunst of Clatskanie, Ore., and Mark Stuart of Riverside, Calif.; a brother, John Perryman of Daly City, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

No public service is scheduled at this time.

Final arrangements were entrusted to Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park & Crematory.
