Arlene Marie Hall, born on December 26, 1931, in Longview, Washington, gracefully departed this world on September 3, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and remarkable achievements. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Marie Hubbard.
Raised in Longview, Arlene excelled in her studies and graduated as the valedictorian from R.A. Long High School in 1950. This early showcase of her brilliance was just a precursor to the many roles she would fulfill—a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, whose cheerful, generous spirit knew no bounds.
Her life was a mosaic of joyful experiences and steadfast commitments, especially to her family and her faith. After 48 beautiful years of marriage, Arlene bid farewell to her beloved husband, William Hall. Though their time together shifted into memory, Arlene carried the essence of their love forward, nurturing it within the hearts of those she left behind.
A proud mother, Arlene is survived by her devoted son, Greg Hall and daughter-in-law Sheila of Bothell, WA, and her loving daughter, Vicki Hall Wynn of Longview, WA. She was blessed with four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who each have lasting memories with her. Also remaining in the embrace of her loving spirit is her sister, Verona Hubbard Sorensen of Arcata, CA, and her brother, Lyman Hubbard and sister-in-law Sally of Olympia, WA. The household of family extends further with numerous nieces and nephews who felt the warmth of her presence in their lives.
A woman of unwavering faith and boundless energy, Arlene brought her passion for music into the sacred walls of Calvary Community Church where her beautiful piano and organ playing became a source of inspiration for many. Her dedication to her church and community was a testament to her generous heart and her desire to spread joy. While she took immense pride in her musical talents, it was her love for family and her joyous spirit that truly made her shine.
Arlene was not only a wonderful musician; she was an ardent fan of sports, displaying unwavering devotion to her teams—the Seattle Mariners, where she proudly belonged to the Edgar Martinez groupie club, the Seattle Seahawks, and the University of Washington Football team. In her younger days she enjoyed gardening and the arts. She attended many concerts and theatrical performances. As she aged she found great delight in curling up to watch every Hallmark movie ever made.
Her journey in this world came to a close after a brief and painless struggle, entering the heavenly realm she so dearly cherished with dignity and grace. Arlene’s spirit is eternally enshrined in the memories of her loved ones, who will honor her legacy of love, kindness, and resilience. Though she may no longer walk among us, her personality will forever echo in our hearts. She will be missed.
